As I begin to mentally prepare myself for my final competition of the season I become somewhat emotional as my trainer, Rich Tuma is very well aware of. I first met Rich at a Sassy and Classy posing clinic at Anytime Fitness in Sicklerville NJ. I felt like a deer in the headlights the whole time I was there, despite the fact that I have been a group fitness instructor and a personal trainer myself for almost 20 years now. I had been training for almost three years with the intention of one day competing before I turned fifty years old, which was this past August. I have had so many obstacles along the way but refused to let them stop me. Each one allowed me to return with an even greater desire to be the best I could be. That's where Rich came in. I explained to him that my diet was already very clean, due to my husband's diligent effort to help me maintain a gluten and grain free lifestyle, which I am also extremely grateful for. I was afraid Rich would not be able to get me where I needed to be ready to compete but he assured me he would be able to maintain my diet and get me there and he absolutely did. I have been in contact with Rich almost everyday since then. He has always been there for me whether it was via email, phone or in person. I have not always been the person I am today. When I was younger I was extremely shy and introverted but was always athletic. I was in dancing school from 7 years old, then gymnastics, and then I discovered the gym at 18 years old and I have not looked back since then. I remember being scared to death when I had to step onto the stage at my recitals just as I was scared to death the first time I had to step onto that stage for my first competition. My trainer came to that show and stood with me the whole time. He kept me calm, he made me laugh, and he gave me the confidence that I needed to do the best I could. I did just that. I am so proud of myself for what I have achieved in just one season. The fire within me grew with each show. I wanted to keep doing them even though I only had the intention of doing one show. I am so happy that I am part of this new family in the NPC and being part of team RTN. I am now entering my fourth show this season; I have promised my very patient husband that I was done....for now. I am hoping that I will continue to make my friends, family, and my trainer, Rich Tuma proud of who I've become and what I have accomplished. I have to say my proudest moment is when I looked over from the stage and saw Rich walking towards me with the Masters overall winner's sword. I had to fight back the tears and pull myself together. Thank you Rich, from the bottom of my heart!

I have been working with Rich for about 7 years now. Working out has always been a big part of my life. As a former gymnast I loved the challenge to improve myself everyday. Rich is always there to help me reach my goals whether it's training for a bikini show, getting ready for a vacation , or just trying to maintain the best shape i can be in. Lately I have been training two days a week with Rich and amazed by the changes in my body. I can't thank him enough for all his hard work and dedication, and also believing in me when I didn't believe in myself.

When I first met Rich Tuma 10 years ago I could have never expected that he would one day help me to become a professional physique athlete from the first time we met. Rich told me he saw something in me and suggested that I look into the sport. Needless to say I wasn't mentally prepared or matured enough at the time to see what Rich saw, so I simply thanked him for the advice and moved on.
Ten years later I finally saw the light and decided to enter the world of the physique athlete. Not knowing much of anything in regards to contest prep it took me a while to become successful but by the end of my first season I had two top five finishes under my belt.
After the success I experienced during my first season I decided that I wanted to become a professional. After placing 1st at a regional qualifier, I set my eye on getting ready for my 1st National show with the hopes of turning pro. Having never prepared for a show of that scale I was very nervous and unsure how I should proceed.

They say God puts people in our lives for a reason and Iow and behold about three weeks before my 1st National show Rich entered my life again for the second time. He not only helped me with training, contest prep and posing but Rich became a mentor, giving tips and secrets that he had learned over the years as a professional in the world of physique himself.
Although I didn't turn professional that day, Rich's help undoubtedly made my experience one which allowed me to grow as a physique athlete. Not wanting to give up on my dream of becoming a professional I set my eyes on another show and Rich was there to help again. This time we came up with a plan for dieting and supplementation, training and posing. Though the preparation was tough, Rich was there to guide me throughout the entire process.
Not only did I end up winning my class but the overall title as well and it is because of his help that today I can call my a Professional Physique Athlete.
Thanks Rich for all your help and contined support!

As a fitness competitor you meet and cross paths with many people and each impact your life in some way. Rich Tuma is someone who opened my eyes to the fitness community and changed my outlook on it, my view on competing was that there was one goal and that was to win and that sets most up for failure. Rich helped me understand that Fitness is about personal growth and changing ones physique does not happen over night. He is one of the most Kind hearted and genuine people I have met in this industry and has become a dear friend of mine as well as my swolemate Al. Not only has he been there to guide the both of us with his wisdom but he has really helped us dial in our physiques with killer workouts and personalized meal plans. He is extremely hands on when it comes to his clients and I know that because he is the reason I took home my first, first place and overall tittle at the NPC Mid Atlantic natural this past may!! I could not have done it without his help and guidance, rich never lost faith in myself even when I did and for that I am extremely thankful. When you surround yourself with positivity and keep a positive outlook, things start to fall into place and I have learned that from Rich. I look forward to continuing my fitness journey with rich as my couch and see what else the future holds!!

"#transformationtuesday I want to thank my amazing trainer @richtuma for truly helping me see complete changes in my body in less than 2 months!! I went from 147 pounds to now 132 pounds. Lost a good 2 1/2 inches around my bust, waist, and hip area. Also, lost about 3% body fat and gained some muscle. Through consistent and positive feedback he retrained my attitude while I retrained my body. He is truly passionate about fitness and shows it through the energy and motivation he brings to every session. He makes every session challenging and creative and most importantly he pushes me to my perceived limits to get results. I have still long to go and cannot wait to see what another month and half will do! Thank you Rich!"

“Its not a sprint, it’s a marathon” is how IFBB Pro, Rich Tuma has been training me, and will continue to train me. Rich has been very successful in which has achieved his pro card and is now living the life as an IFBB Pro. Currently, he is in the process of helping myself become the best competitor I can become. I know for a fact I wouldn’t have seen the results I’ve seen in such a short period of time, if it wasn’t for his assistance. I’m headed on the right path, slow and steady. I’m doing it the right, healthy, and safe way. I’m living my dreams, as the life of a competitor and am so excited for many opportunities ahead. I couldn’t be any more excited to be apart of Team RTN. I finally feel apart of something, just as second family. RTN is what keeps me going! His potential and passion towards fitness is what separates himself from all the other “typical trainers.” I can truly say I’m blessed and cannot be in any better hands than Rich Tuma. The investment in time that he has given myself and my body is unreal. Not only does Rich strive in his own fit life, but also makes time as a trainer and a loving, caring father. Rich’s encouragement is what will continue to keep me going. As he says “See it, Believe it, Achieve it!“

"Last December, after I'd lost 75 pounds, my son, Team RTN athlete Greg Crostewitz, suggested that it was time for me to start getting in shape. He knew that I had been paying for, but ignoring, my membership to a local gym. I assured him that I was almost ready to start a work-out program. But in reality, I didn’t know where to begin. I was not comfortable doing anything at the gym besides using the treadmill and elliptical machines. So for Christmas, he solved my problem by giving me the gift of 10 pre-paid personal training sessions with Rich Tuma at 1103 the Body Shop. While I was thrilled with the prospect of finally engaging in a meaningful fitness routine, I was nervous because having a personal trainer would be a real commitment. I would actually have do the work necessary to get fit. I hadn’t exercised in many years and I didn’t know if I could. On January 14, 2014, with an open mind and more than a little dread, I arrived on Rich’s doorstep. And that was the day that my life really changed. The day that the clock started to go backwards and the years began to melt away. That’s because Rich Tuma is more than a very qualified personal trainer, he is a fitness magician. His manner is calm, his training technique is focused and firm. No yelling, No intimidation. Somehow he quietly persuades me to perform amazing feats of strength and endurance. Twice every week, I spend 30 minutes hating him while he coaxes me to push my 57-year old self to the physical threshold necessary to become fit and strong. And I actually love it! Before I began working with Rich, I was most likely to be found reading my Kindle or in front of my computer. The simple act of climbing stairs made my heart pound and left me winded. Since I’ve been working with Rich, I’ve lost another 27 pounds. I skied on the expert trails at Hunter Mountain for the first time in 20 years. And I play tennis with my husband 3-days a week. Now, I’m more likely to be found engaged in physical activity and I feel 30-years younger. I get stronger and more fit every week. This is something that I could not have accomplished on my own or with any other trainer. I can’t say enough about how knowing and working with Rich has improved my life. Having Rich as a valued partner in my fitness journey has been a blessing.
Thank you so much, Rich." |

I would like to thank my trainer Rich for helping and pushing me through tough, challenging, and encouraging sessions in the last 4 months which resulted in some great positive change! I've maintained a weight loss of 12 pounds, lost 4 inches in my waist and 3 inches in my hips and thighs. I still have a long way to go, and I know I will get there with his help and motivation!

I started working out with Rich a year ago. I needed the extra boost to get out of my comfort zone and normal cardio routine. Rich has pushed me to lift weights and do exercises that I did not think my body was capable of. He has a great way to push you to new levels with out you even knowing! I have learned to stay patient as results do not show immediately. I am proud of my myself and the results I have seen so far, and am looking forward to seeing more!

I’ve been working out since I was 17. I was trying different types of exercises like step, boot camp, and kickboxing. It helped me to stay in healthy shape but I couldn’t get any muscle definition. I started working out with Rich last year. I followed his advice instead of the daily cardio and I started weight training. I also changed my diet, eating more proteins with my meals. I have my RTN Bionic Edge shake after every workout. Every single session with Rich is extremely challenging and really hard but it is also fun and always surprising, and I love the results! I love how my body looks right now. Finally I achieved my goal thanks to Rich. He taught me how I can work out more effectively and smarter without wasting time and energy.

I met Rich through a referral. 57 days is all it took for Rich Tuma to take me to the next level. I met Rich with the intentions to compete in a physique competition and was expecting to compete in 2017. Rich saw something in me and said I can be on stage in under two months. His methodology of attacking a workout is phenomenal. Being a high school athlete and being a Marine, Rich was still able to provide effective workouts! Rich is humble, he is a fitness enthusiast, he is a professional, he is a scientist devising precise workout plans and nutrition plans, above all else he is an extraordinary human being. I look forward to working with you! This is only the beginning!
